Selection Process for Police Recruit

Each step of the process below must be successfully completed or the candidate will be removed from the selection process.

1. Submission of application
2. Completion of written examination
3. Completion of oral interview
4. Completion of Physical Agility testing
5. Completion of background investigation (This includes a polygraph examination or Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA))
6. Completion of psychological examination
7. Completion of physical examination
8. Completion of drug screening

Selection Process for Police Officers certified by the Delaware Council on Police Training (COPT)

Each step of the process below must be successfully completed or the candidate will be removed from the selection process.
